Your privacy is important to us and BILT – Engineering and Construction, Ltd. is strongly committed to respecting and ensuring the privacy of users of its website – www.bilt.pt, including any personal data that you may provide through this website when requesting information about our projects or services, or when submitting your spontaneous application to join the BILT team.
This privacy policy should be read in conjunction with and in addition to any other information or privacy notice that we may provide to you in specific cases.
This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data from this age group.

BILT – Engineering and Construction, Ltd. with headquarters at Avenida Cidade Maringá, Arcadas Dom João III, 1st Floor, Shop 55, 2400-118 Leiria, is a private Portuguese company operating in the engineering and construction sector.
BILT is the holder of a Class 5 Permit – no. 99354 – PUB, which allows it to execute works up to a value of € 2.65 M.

3. What personal information do we collect?
According to the provisions of data protection legislation, i. e. the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679), personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (the data subject). We request personal information only when we actually need it to provide you with a service. We do so by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent, for personal data relating to the services we provide to our CUSTOMERS, those necessary to ensure the operation of the relationship with our SUPPLIERS, those obtained from our POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS, and those referred to us in spontaneous APPLICATIONS or job offers.
We also tell you why we are collecting them and how they will be used.
We do not share personally identifiable information publicly or with third parties except as required by law.
4. Term and conservation of personal data
In line with the principles mentioned above, the personal data processed by BILT are kept for the time strictly necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, i.e. the personal data related to contacts of our CLIENTS, POTENTIAL CLIENTS, and SUPPLIERS will be kept until the completion of the purpose for which they were collected and will be deleted after the termination of all contracts with BILT, without prejudice to any fiscal, legal or regulatory requirements in force, or to our rights in the event of early termination of contracts or litigation.
If you have sent us an APPLICATION, your data will be kept by us until December 31 of each year.
Where these requirements or rights do not apply, we may keep your personal data for longer periods on the basis of your consent.
5. Safety measures
BILT has in place technical and organizational security measures to ensure the protection of personal data against personal data breaches (“personal data breach”: a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of or access to personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed) and against all other unlawful forms of processing.

Our website may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins, and applications that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of those websites and cannot accept responsibility for their respective privacy policies.

7. How to access, change or delete the personal data obtained
By definition of the new Regulation, citizens have a set of rights over their personal data, regardless of whether or not they are in the possession of others.
If you require any clarification beyond what is set out in this Policy, you may contact BILT, the Company’s personal data controller. We will endeavor to deal with your request without undue delay and always be in compliance with applicable legal requirements. From time to time, we may need to keep a record of your communications.

- Right to object: if we are using your data because we think it is necessary and you do not agree, you have the right to object (in writing or by e-mail). We will respond to your request within 30 days (although in certain cases we may be allowed to extend this period). As a general rule, we will only disagree with you if certain limited conditions apply.
- Right to withdraw consent: if we have obtained your consent to process your personal data for certain activities, you can withdraw your consent at any time (in writing or by e-mail).
- Data Subject Access Requests: You have the right to ask us at any time to confirm the information we hold about you and you may ask us to amend, update or delete that information. In either case please send your request by e-mail to our DPO at the above address (in writing or by e-mail). We may comply with your request or, in addition, we may:
- ask you to verify your identity or request further information about your request; or
- have to keep your data as required by law, but we will explain the reasons for doing so.
- Right to be forgotten: you have the right to ask us to delete your personal data (in writing or by email).
We will respond to your request within 30 days (although in certain cases we may be allowed to extend this period) and will only disagree with you if certain limited conditions apply.
- Right to restrict processing: under certain circumstances, you have the right to restrict our processing of your personal data. This means that we may only continue to store your data and may not carry out any further processing activities with it until you have given your consent or if further processing is necessary for the establishment, the exercise of the defense of a right, protection of the rights of another person or reasons of important public interest of the EU or a Member State (by written document or email).
